cPanel is one of the most popular control panel within North America. As such, we've created a step-by-step installation guide on how to install cPanel within your VPS (Virtual Private Server) or Dedicated Server.
cPanel License: Ensuring that you have a valid license is the first step in being able to use your cPanel on your VPS or Dedicated Server. If you don't already have a license, you can obtain one through us.
The cPanel Installation Guide:
- Login to your cPanel VPS or cPanel Dedicated Server via SSH
- Move to the correct folder by doing: # cd /home/
- Run the following command to download the cPanel installer:
# wget -N http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/latest
- Once downloaded, simply run: sh latest
This will now start the cPanel installation process. Please note, that you will need to make sure that you do not close your SSH, as closing the SSH window could stop the cPanel installation process on your cPanel VPS or cPanel Dedicated Server.
